Column, Chromatography, 24/40 Outer Joint, 500mL Reservoir, 2in ID X 8in E.L., 2mm Stopcock. Similar to CG-1196 but with a COARSE porosity sealed in fritted disc to support column packing. Column is constructed using MEDIUM WALL TUBING. Can be used as a gravity eluted column or a flash column (as described by W.C. Still, M. Kahn and A. Mitra of Columbia University in JOURNAL OF ORGANIC CHEMISTRY 43, 2923 [1978], and covered in U.S. Patent Number 4,293,422 dated October 6, 1981) when used with CG-1191 flow control adapter. Lower end of the column has a round bottom.

Use these empty glass chromatography columns with low-pressure (<1 bar) chromatography systems or gravity flow separations. Econo-Column columns are ideal for simple packing and procedure running. They are 2.5x5cm with a 25ml volume. The porous polymerbed support at the bottom of the column retains fine particles. They have translucent polypropylene end fittings which allow viewing of the entire column bed. The columns are autoclavable and NaOH compatible. Includes one stopcock per column ordered.
